Warehouse Manager role in South East London (Peckham)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role also requires the operation of a forklift when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
Monitor and maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Receive, inspect, and organise incoming deliveries.
Coordinate the storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Operate a forklift as required for loading, unloading, and moving stock.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
Liaise with suppliers, management, and other departments regarding stock requirements.
Requirements:
Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Strong stock control and inventory management skills.
Experience placing orders and managing supplier relationships.
Valid forklift licence/certification (preferred).
Good organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency in warehouse systems and basic computer applications.
Right to work in the UK.
